Regeneris Consulting, in partnership with BE Group, is delighted to have been appointed by Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) to prepare a series of important sector action plans for the area. This new study provides an important sub-regional response to the Government’s emerging Industrial Strategy.
The work meets a requirement of the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) Refresh currently under development which sets out job targets and a requirement to develop detailed sector action plans to remove barriers and realise growth opportunities. The action plans will look at land and premises requirements, other infrastructure needs (such as broadband availability, energy), sector specific skill issues, financial issues and a range of other factors. The sector action plans will focus on priority sectors in the Tees Valley economy: advanced manufacturing, process, chemicals and energy, logistics, health and biologics, creative and digital, cultural and leisure, professional and business services, in addition to special consideration being given to the cross-cutting theme of the ‘Circular Economy’.
Dr. Steve Rosevear, Study Director at Regeneris Consulting, said, “We are really looking forward to working with TVCA on this commission. The study resonates with our existing work on the productivity of local and sub-regional economies, and will strengthen our knowledge of business competitiveness in the Tees Valley. We also look forward to meeting with many of the businesses that drive the Tees Valley economy and contribute so much to national prosperity.” For further information, please contact Steve Rosevear firstname.lastname@example.org or Lauren Newby email@example.com.
