Before joining Regeneris Consulting in 2007, Kate worked in Urban Renewal at Warrington Borough Council. Kate specialises in project and programme evaluation and has worked extensively on studies relating to business support, research and innovation, and SME finance.
She has an extensive track record of project and programme evaluation and is particularly experienced in designing and implementing complex impact evaluation methodologies. She is currently working with DCLG to design the evaluation approach for the 2014-20 English ERDF programme.
Kate frequently advises on the design and delivery of business support, SME finance and research and innovation services. She has worked with several Local Enterprises Partnerships, Growth Hubs and Universities to explore how best to configure business support services to maximise their economic and wider impact.
Kate also has considerable experience of preparing socio-economic impact assessments for offshore wind farms. She has provided socio-economic advice to inform planning applications for a number of offshore wind farms in the UK and appeared as Expert Witness at hearings for the Hornsea Project One and Two offshore wind farms.
Kate spends most of her spare time planning holidays.
