Carlisle City Council have ambitious plans for growth. Carlisle South is a recently designated Garden Village. It is a proposed development of up to 10,000 new homes, employment uses, supporting infrastructure and a new link road. It will become a key growth engine for Cumbria. Regeneris Consulting is delighted to have been appointed by Carlisle City Council to help in the identification of future growth sectors. The study will pinpoint land requirements in the masterplanning of Carlisle South. The work will inform a local response to the Government’s Industrial Strategy, provide a robust evidence base to establish Carlisle’s economic position and identify prospects for growth and inform the development of a new Economic Development Strategy for Carlisle.
