Neil Evans
Neil is an experienced development and labour market economist, having managed many major consulting projects for central Government departments, RDAs, local authorities, regeneration partnerships and the private sector.Neil's main policy interests include regional and local economic development issues, employment and skills, and the economics of tourism and culture, land and property, and transport. He has recently concluded a number of major consultancy assignments, including two studies examining the importance of higher skills in the Manchester and Tyne and Wear city regions, an employability strategy for the North West of England, guiding DCMS in the selection of UK City of Culture 2013 and the preparation of the business case for the proposed Stonehenge Visitor Centre.
Neil joined the Regeneris team as a Director in June 2002. Neil started his career as a Government Economist in the Department of Employment, prior to entering economic development consultancy with DTZ Pieda and Arup.
He is an enthusiastic road cyclist and mountain biker in his spare time.
