Alison Balshaw
Alison joined Regeneris as a senior consultant in February 2007. She has considerable experience of working alongside public and private sector clients to develop and appraise economic development and regeneration projects. Alison has particular expertise in business planning, business case development and economic impact assessment. Joining Regeneris Consulting after a four year spell within KPMG’s Government Advisory Practice, Alison brought to the company valuable experience in business planning, the development of funding applications and the creation of Special Purpose Vehicles.
During her time with Regeneris, Alison has taken a lead role on a number of large and high profile projects. Recent examples include: a business case to support the redevelopment of visitor facilities at Stonehenge; an ERDF/Single Programme funding application for a large employment site in East Lancashire; and an impact appraisal of proposals for a large infrastructure project across Morecambe Bay.
Alison holds a first class degree in geography from the University of Manchester and also gained an MSc in Economic Development Research and Policy from the University of Birmingham in 2002.
