David Watson
David is a senior consultant at Regeneris. During his time with the company he has played an important role in many core business areas, including strategy development, economic impact assessment, programme evaluation and socio-economic analysis. In recent times, David has been involved in the economic analysis of the North West region as part of the Northwest Development Agency’s review of their Regional Economic Strategy. David has also been intimately involved with the development of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) at Regeneris.
He graduated in 2001 from the University of Hull with a degree in Geography, specialising in areas of urban, regional and economic geography. Prior to joining he worked for Barclays, concentrating on IT banking projects, and he also completed a short work placement at Oxfam in Australia assisting at their Sydney HQ.
David holds a Masters degree in Urban Regeneration from Sheffield Hallam University. As part of his course, he had the opportunity to visit both Washington DC and Baltimore to meet with local and state agencies involved with economic development and regeneration issues.
In his spare time David enjoys playing sport, particularly football, whilst also keeping his travel bug alive with trips abroad.
