Barney is an experienced economic development consultant with strong experience across many of our core work areas including: economic strategy, evaluation and economic impact assessment.
He has considerable expertise in quantitative and qualitative techniques of analysis, including socio-economic baseline research and analysis, designing bespoke economic models, and stakeholder consultation and facilitation.
Barney is particularly interested in the London economic development context. He has led a diverse range of studies for clients including the GLA, TfL and London Boroughs, including town centre strategies and action plans, site specific and area-wide masterplans, sector and cluster development studies, and SME workspace mapping and feasibility studies.
Barney is an experienced project manager. In recent years, he has managed multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects including the Visioning West Norwood and Tulse Hill programme, the Tower Hamlets SME Workspace Study and the Brixton Economic Action Plan. Most recently Barney led our work on the Hillingdon HS2 Impact Study, as part of which he gave evidence to the HS2 Commons Select Committee.
Away from work, Barney enjoys running and walking in the Lakeland fells.
